Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Jim and his family frequently visited Lake Oconee before deciding to make it their permanent home. This move allowed Jim to transition into a career in real estate, fulfilling a long-held aspiration to live by the lake.

With over thirty years of experience in sales, Jim's background includes owning a Manufacturers Representative business in Northern New Jersey for fifteen years. He later served as the General Manager of Watts Regulator’s Industrial Valve Division in Franklin, New Hampshire, before relocating to Charlotte, where he led sales for Apollo Ball Valves, a division of Conbraco Industries.

The Linney family has a strong passion for golf, having won more than twenty-five club championships during their time at three private country clubs. The Lake Oconee area provides an ideal setting for them to continue pursuing this interest.
