Jim Paris has been a fixture in Hilton Head since 1974, initially arriving to participate in a rugby match. His early years on the island were dedicated to the hospitality sector, where he honed his skills as a bartender, manager, sous chef, and executive chef at various local establishments, including CQs in Harbortown. In 1981, following the birth of his first son, Jim transitioned to a career in real estate.

Over the years, Jim has gained extensive experience in the industry. He founded Forest Beach Realty, which was acquired by Coldwell Banker in 2002. Shortly thereafter, he was offered the opportunity to serve as the Director of Sales at the Greenbrier Sporting Club in West Virginia, located at the prestigious Greenbrier Hotel. After a year, he joined the Vice President of Ritz Carlton Real Estate, who had recently taken on the role of President of Real Estate for the Sea Island Companies. In this capacity, Jim oversaw the National Membership at Sea Island. Following a corporate restructuring, he returned to Hilton Head, where he continues to leverage his wealth of experience.
