About James Ringgold

Ben Ringgold, a fourth-generation Texan and lifelong resident of Houston, has deep roots in the community. He completed his high school education at Scarborough High School in 1974 and earned his degree from Texas A&M University in 1977. Since 1990, he has made The Woodlands his family’s home.

Following his graduation, Ben spent nearly 15 years at Exxon’s Houston research center, where he held the positions of senior designer and system administrator. He later transitioned to the software industry, serving as a senior software support engineer and senior applications engineer for 12 years.

Ben is married to a real estate broker and is the proud father of twin daughters, both of whom are Texas A&M and Stephen F. Austin University graduates. An avid athlete, he has completed over 20 marathons and was a member of Exxon’s corporate national team. In his leisure time, Ben enjoys various sports, including running and fishing, and he finds joy in spending time on the family farm, particularly riding tractors.
