Jim, the second son of globe-trotting parents, spent his formative years in diverse locations including Libya, Indonesia, the United States, and England. He returned to the U.S. in 1989 to pursue higher education. After earning a degree in art and business from Stetson University in DeLand, he settled in New Smyrna Beach in 1993.

Jim began his professional journey in the art sector at the Atlantic Center for the Arts and later pursued a graduate degree at New York University in 2000. He returned to New Smyrna Beach in 2002, rejoining the Atlantic Center, where he served as Co-Executive Director from 2011 to 2017.

Throughout these years, Jim's enthusiasm for real estate became increasingly apparent; he personally owned and renovated over 12 properties in New Smyrna Beach and managed several rental units. His extensive knowledge of the local real estate market has paved the way for his transition into commercial real estate.
