Jean and Gary first encountered St. George Island while studying at Florida State University in the early 1970s. Their fondness for the island grew as they frequently returned for camping trips during their college years. Although they resided in Tallahassee for over three decades, they always considered St. George Island and Apalachicola to be their second home. Gary, a seasoned building contractor, has been constructing properties in St. George and its vicinity since 1987 and became a licensed real estate agent in 2009. The couple has actively invested in the St. George Island and Apalachicola areas since the late 1980s, ultimately making St. George Island their permanent residence in the summer of 2005. They are proud parents of three sons and grandparents to two grandchildren.

Jean holds a Master’s degree in Education from Florida State University and has dedicated over 20 years to teaching. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 1987 and achieved her Broker Associate status in December 2013. Additionally, she is a certified Resort and Second Home Property Specialist and is currently pursuing her Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI) designation. Jean serves on the Board of Directors for the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the MLS Committee for the Realtors Association of Franklin and Gulf Counties.

Gary, also an FSU graduate with a degree in Education, spent 20 years teaching in the Leon County School System. He has been a licensed contractor since 1987, specializing in coastal construction, with a focus on St. George Island. His portfolio includes projects from Water Color to Summer Camp. Gary has served as a vestry member at Trinity Episcopal Church and is currently involved with the board of directors for both the Apalachicola Historic Society and the Apalachicola Main Street Program. He is also a longstanding member of the Apalachicola Area Chamber of Commerce.

Together, Jean and Gary bring a wealth of experience in construction and coastal investment properties, making them valuable assets to their clients. They prioritize trust and effective communication as the cornerstones of successful relationships. Committed to the St. George Island community and its surroundings, they eagerly anticipate sharing the unique offerings of the area with prospective clients.
