A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in journalism earned in 1993, she has built a life centered around family and community. After marrying her college sweetheart, she faced a significant challenge when her husband, who was working in horticulture, sustained a serious back injury that prevented him from continuing his career. In response, she obtained her real estate license to support her family.
