A lifelong resident of Walnut Creek, Jim graduated from Las Lomas High School, where he and his twin brother were active in athletics. In 1971, he was honored as the first Athlete of the Year at Las Lomas, showcasing his talents in football, baseball, and track. Today, he enjoys golfing and is pursuing his passion for winemaking.

Before transitioning to real estate, Jim spent 28 years as an information technology consultant, where he designed and implemented large-scale data warehousing systems for prominent Fortune 500 companies, including Bank of America, AT&T, and Kaiser Permanente.
