With over 15 years of experience in the Boca Grande real estate market, John Harms possesses an extensive knowledge and passion for the island that few can match. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University in Ohio in 1997 and began his professional journey in sales at Compuware Corp in Detroit, Michigan. There, he honed his sales skills before moving to the company's regional office in Chicago as an outside mainframe sales representative.

After experiencing the harsh winters of the Midwest and engaging in real estate transactions on Florida's East Coast, John made the pivotal decision to relocate to Boca Grande in 2004 to pursue a full-time career in real estate. He quickly obtained his real estate license and achieved his broker associate license in 2006. In 2013, he became a partner at Hendricks Harms & Associates alongside Brett Hendricks, where he excelled in the industry, achieving nearly $220 million in sales volume and assisting clients in finding their ideal piece of paradise.

In 2019, the brokerage partnered with Michael Saunders & Company to enhance their commitment to exceptional customer service through innovative marketing strategies and robust administrative support. John resides in Placida with his wife, Patricia, and their newborn son, Remington. Patricia has been a valued member of the Boca Grande Health Clinic since 2010.
