John Turner, along with his wife Jackie and their children, John Jr., Michael, and Shannon, relocated from South Huntington, Long Island, New York, to the Worcester area in 1972. A few years later, their daughter Shannon was born in Oneonta.

Before entering the real estate sector, John spent 13 years in the construction industry as a pipe-fitter with Local 638. He transitioned to real estate full-time in 1974, joining Country Boy Realty in 1976. There, he established a branch office at 149 Main Street in Worcester, initially serving as a salesperson before advancing to his current position as Associate Broker.
