About Joseph Fila

Joe Fila has dedicated his professional life to marketing and sales, with a notable focus on the real estate sector. While residing in South Florida, he founded a marketing and advertising firm that catered to an international clientele, particularly within the shelter industry. His company provided a comprehensive range of services to builders and developers, including Mortgage Guarantee Insurance Corporation, Janis Enterprises, Nicholas Morley Enterprises, Arvida Corporation, and Vector Land Group. These services encompassed corporate and project identification programs, marketing and feasibility studies, sales and leasing collateral, signage, sales center exhibits, and various forms of media advertising, including print, radio, and television. This extensive experience in indirect sales support equipped Joe with valuable insights that would later benefit his real estate career. He became a licensed Sales Associate in 1982 and advanced to Broker Associate status in 1987.

In 1987, Cervera Real Estate, one of his clients, invited him to serve as Executive Vice President, overseeing 47 associates across two offices. During his tenure, Joe played a pivotal role as Project Manager for luxury condominium conversion projects and led the Commercial Leasing Division in collaboration with a partner.

Joe has been an active member of the Builders Association of South Florida since 1980, contributing over 16 years of service. He held leadership positions on various committees, including The Idea Home for the ’80s, Membership, Public Relations, and the Annual BASF Home Show. His civic and philanthropic engagements include leadership roles in Rotary Clubs, the Boy Scouts of America, the Elephant Forum, and various chambers of commerce, as well as the Business Council for International Understanding and the South Florida Center for Theological Studies. He also served as a Special Advisor to then Florida Secretary of Commerce Jeb Bush and was a Delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1986.

After three decades in Miami, Joe relocated to Sebring in 2003, where he now focuses on brokering and investing in real estate. In 2019, he joined Advantage Realty of Highlands County as a Broker Associate.
