I was raised on the back of a horse Cattle and Ranch work have always been a part of my life I've broke trained and sold many horses For years my husband Wayne and I traveled from Texas to Washington State while he competed in Rodeos One of my first real estate adventures was dividing up 60 acres into a subdivision and selling thirty of the lots In 1984 we designed and built a four-bedroom log home-cutting pines from our property hand peeling them then had a mill to cut them into a kit for a log home I sold that home and 2 acres for enough to buy us a home and 82 acres in Grapeland Texas I designed our home and blueprints for our second house in Grapeland my husband and myself built it and it's where we live today When we came to Grapeland in 1997 I was the only woman sitting in an auction barn buying and selling cattle Those guys sure made it tough on me at first but it didn't take long for them to realize I wasn't giving up I like to meet each challenge head-on and I remember my Dad always saying "can't never could" and I always said "if there is a will there is a way " We also put God first in our lives I give Him all the praise and glory for where we are today In 2003 we started The Cowboy Church of Houston County which is where we still attend today Our church is an awesome testimony of how God has helped form my goal to treat everyone fairly and to be honest One of our children Jaimie Harvey is a realtor in Southeast Texas where her husband is a broker with United Country and now owner of JW Realty & Auction Services We previously worked for Keller Williams I was with Keller Williams for a little more than 5 years We are a real estate family and now I'm a part of the awesome company of United Country JW Realty & Auction Services where I'll work as hard for your dreams as I have for my own It would be a pleasure doing business with you where I'll work as hard for your dreams as I have for my own It would be a pleasure doing business with you
