Karen Mattis returned to her Texas roots in 2011 after spending time in San Marino, California. As a native Texan, her decision to move back was driven by a desire to reconnect with her family, who reside across the state from Brownsville to Dallas.

In Georgetown, Karen became actively involved in local governance, serving as Chair of the Greater Water Committee. In this role, she tackled significant challenges related to the provision of safe and reliable water across the extensive 400-mile area managed by the Chisholm Trail Special Utility District (CTSUD). Her dedicated efforts culminated in the successful transfer of assets and liabilities from CTSUD to the City of Georgetown in 2014, followed by the acquisition of the 400-mile Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) in 2015.

Karen brings the same commitment to her real estate practice, ensuring that her clients receive exceptional service tailored to their needs. She is also proud to participate in Realty Texas’s Military Rebate Program, which offers a 20% commission rebate to military personnel at closing.
