About Katherine Blagden

Katherine, originally from Chicago, spent her formative years in Toronto and Mexico City, which contributed to her fluency in Spanish. Her journey has taken her through various cities, including Cincinnati, Boulder, Winston-Salem, and Tucson. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a minor in Conflict Resolution from the University of Colorado, graduating with honors in 1977.

In 1979, Katherine married photographer Joseph Blagden, and the couple relocated to Santa Fe in 1983, where they raised three children: Jackson, Bonar, and Wyndham. Katherine has been deeply engaged in educational advocacy, serving as president of parent organizations at three different schools over the past 16 years. Her leadership in organizing eight fundraising auctions has resulted in over $300,000 raised for local schools, showcasing her exceptional skills in organization, multitasking, and negotiation. Currently, she is a member of the Buckaroo Ball Committee, which allocates funds to support at-risk children in Santa Fe County.
