Kathy, a native of Syracuse, New York, holds a degree in Library Science. She spent several years honing her expertise as a librarian, working in diverse environments ranging from Harvard Law School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to various public and private libraries in Boulder, Colorado, and San Jose, California. During her time in the Sierra Madre region of Mexico, she also had the opportunity to enhance her Spanish language proficiency.

In 1995, Kathy and her husband, John, relocated to Palm Coast, where she gained valuable insights into the construction process by overseeing the building of their home. Her background as a researcher and inspector has deepened her commitment to helping others navigate their transitions to Florida, ultimately inspiring her to embark on a career in real estate.
