About Kay Bohan

Kay relocated to Evergreen over two decades ago, having moved from rural Upper Michigan. Her journey to Colorado began while she was a student at Northern Michigan University, where a blind date introduced her to this picturesque mountain community. Captivated by Evergreen's charm during her initial visit, she decided to make it her home.

Kay earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Metropolitan State College of Denver. Her professional background includes serving as a Social Worker at a spinal cord and brain injury center in Denver, as well as working as a Victims Assistance Worker for a local police department.

Known affectionately as the "Cookie Lady of Evergreen," Kay founded "The Cookie Project," an initiative aimed at raising funds for local charities that support victims of domestic violence. Additionally, she established the Evergreen Community Soldier Bake, inspired by her desire to support family and friends deployed overseas after September 11. This initiative not only provided cookies for the troops but also fostered a sense of community as residents came together to bake.

Kay values the mountain region as an ideal environment for raising her two children. She is passionate about helping others find their perfect home in the foothills, whether they seek a remote cabin or a custom-built estate. With her extensive knowledge of the area’s diverse neighborhoods and home styles, she is well-equipped to guide clients on their journey.

Her commitment to community service and charitable efforts led her to join Sotheby’s International Realty. The brand recognized her dedication, particularly her ongoing work to secure a permanent facility for the Rocky Mountain Deaf School in Denver. Kay specializes in working with clients who communicate using American Sign Language, a skill that is particularly meaningful to her, as her youngest son was born deaf.
