About Kay Hightower

Kay has called Oxford home since 1998, after relocating from Zama, Mississippi, where she graduated from Ethel High School. Initially pursuing various career paths, she transitioned to being a stay-at-home mother before taking on a role as a research consultant with the Center for Educational Research and Evaluation at the University of Mississippi.

In 2006, Kay purchased a condominium for short-term rentals, which marked the beginning of her entrepreneurial journey in the Oxford real estate market. Over the years, she has successfully navigated the buying and selling of multiple properties, cultivating a deep understanding of the local market. This expertise led her to obtain her real estate license in early 2015.

Kay holds a Master of Education from Delta State University and a Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Her professional background includes experience in education, legal assistance, teaching, human resources management, and consulting. Since 2007, she has been the owner of Hightower Property Management LLC, specializing in short-term rentals.

A dedicated member of the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce since 2010, Kay is also an active participant in her community and a follower of Jesus, serving at First Baptist Church in Oxford. In her spare time, she enjoys various DIY projects, minor home renovations, bargain hunting, furniture renewal, crafting, cooking, and conducting internet research. Kay is married to Roy, with whom she has shared a life since 1986, and they are proud parents and aunts to two remarkable young men.
