Kay's leadership roles include serving as President of the McHenry County Association of Realtors from 1996 to 1997, during which time she was recognized as the 1997 Realtor of the Year for her exceptional client service. Additionally, she received the Illinois State Member of the Year award from the Women's Council of Realtors in 1997 and later served as President of the Illinois State Women's Council of Realtors. In 2003, she was honored as the Elgin Area/McHenry County Realtor Member of the Year.
