Prior to becoming a Realtor in 2006 Kelli worked as a graphic design consultant and marketing manager calling on advertising agencies corporate communications departments graphic design studios and printers throughout south Louisiana Nationally recognized in her field she helped organize conferences to bring her knowledge and expertise in sales and marketing to others around the country She was twice named the Advertising Person of the Year for Service Supplies Sales Person by the Advertising Club of New Orleans As a realtor she has been recognized each year by the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors in 2008 she was a Gold Award winner

Since Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans she has worked extensively with her neighborhood association the Broadmoor Improvement Association as Repopulation Chairperson Early on her job was to prove the viability of this devastated neighborhood but as it became clear that this area would not only survive but thrive her job has transitioned into assisting her neighbors rebuild their neighborhood Because of her work in Broadmoor she is a recipient of the 2007 Realtor Magazine Good Neighbor Certificate of Appreciation for her dedication to community service Kelli also sits on the board of the Advocacy Center of Louisiana
