About Kevin King

Kevin King has been a prominent figure in the Hilton Head Island real estate market since his arrival in 1983. Initially specializing in resort lending with First Western Mortgage, he transitioned to Kelley-Scott Real Estate in 1987, where he became a partner. The firm was later rebranded as Prudential Hilton Head Properties in 1991, during which time King distinguished himself as the top producer from 1987 to 1998. He has been recognized as a lifetime member of the Board of Realtors Distinguished Sales Award (Platinum), maintaining this honor annually since 1988. Additionally, King was a member of the Prudential Real Estate Chairman’s Circle, an accolade reserved for the top 1% of agents nationwide, from 1996 to 1998. In January 1999, he joined Charter One Realty and has remained one of the leading agents in the Hilton Head and Bluffton markets.

Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, King graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1979, where he was a full scholarship athlete and captain of the golf team. Following his collegiate career, he played professional golf in Florida from 1980 to 1983 before moving to Hilton Head Island as Vice President and Branch Manager at First Western Mortgage. Kevin and his wife, Lynn, have two daughters: Cameron, a University of Georgia graduate now residing in Orlando, Florida, working for a global PR firm, and Victoria, a University of South Carolina graduate who is currently a recruiter in New York City. Lynn has been with Tidepointe/Broad Creek Care Center since 2008, serving as their Community Relations Manager.

In addition to his real estate achievements, King served as vice president of the Hilton Head Association of Realtors in 1998. He is a member of both Colleton River Plantation and Secession Golf Club. An accomplished individual, he is also an instrument-rated pilot and certified diver. King returned to professional golf on the Champions Tour in 2007-2008 until an injury sidelined him; he has since regained his amateur status.
