About Kim Melcher

Kim's journey began in foster care in Central Arkansas, followed by adoption and a childhood in South Arkansas. These formative experiences instilled in her a profound appreciation for family and the importance of having a place to call home.

At 19, Kim envisioned a career in real estate, but it would take nearly 35 years for that dream to materialize. During that time, she successfully managed several medical clinics in the Kansas City area and operated her own bookkeeping business for nearly three decades. At 54, she finally achieved her long-held aspiration by obtaining her real estate license, often encouraging others with the mantra, “Never give up on your dreams.”

Although Kim had frequently visited Branson, she never anticipated it would become her permanent residence. This changed when she met Woody, her husband, who had lived in the area for nearly 24 years. “It was a no-brainer to sell my home and move to Branson,” Kim reflects. “I got here as quickly as I could.”

Together, Kim and Woody have a blended family that includes five children and three grandchildren. Three of their children live nearby, while one resides in Texas and another in Colorado.

After becoming licensed in 2014, Kim earned her broker's license just four years later, making her a licensed broker in both Missouri and Arkansas. She holds several prestigious designations, including the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), the Realtor's Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), and the At Home With Diversity designation. Currently, she is completing the Graduate REALTOR® Leadership Academy (GRLA). Kim has also served on her local Board of Directors for several years and is an active member of the Arkansas REALTORS® Association Board of Directors, boasting numerous sales volume awards throughout her career.
