Kim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Florida. Following her graduation, she embarked on a career in banking with Bank of America, where she excelled as a Financial Strategist and Commercial Lender. In this role, she was responsible for underwriting loans and projects for notable clients, including the Florida Marlins, PGA Golf Course, and Fresh Express Salads.

Despite her success in finance, Kim recognized that the demanding hours and lengthy commute were not conducive to family life. Seeking a more flexible career that would allow her to balance work and motherhood, she transitioned into real estate. Initially drawn to the field by a genuine interest in home design and a desire for her own dream house, she soon discovered the reality of the industry.
