In 2010, Kristen Orostieta relocated from Magnolia, Texas, to Caldwell, Texas, to be closer to her family and the restaurant they own. Her commitment to community service is evident through her previous roles as a trustee for the Caldwell Independent School District Board, chair of the Burleson County Welfare Commission Board, and director of the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce. Currently, she is actively involved with the Burleson Health Resource Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club.

Kristen holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Her educational background, combined with her experience as a bank assistant manager, has equipped her with valuable financial insights applicable to real estate. This foundation led her to invest in rental properties, and in 2012, she successfully completed her first major renovation project. Since then, she has rehabilitated over 15 homes in Burleson County, with plans for more.
