Originally from Hawaii Kristi has worked in the travel and banking industries She’s also taught craft and cooking classes at the Reston Community Center and coached age group swimming with Machine Aquatics Kristi is known for going above and beyond being creative with solving clients’ problems and always following through with commitments
Born and raised in Texas Ben served in the US Army for seven years at duty stations including Fort Shafter Hawaii Fort Gordon Georgia and Schofield Barracks Hawaii His other work experience includes network engineering roofing construction and working on oil rigs He currently enjoys brewing craft beer as a side gig at Reston’s Lake Anne Brew House
We moved to Northern Virginia in 2010 and settled in Reston with our four daughters quickly embracing our new community through multiple volunteer and outreach activities We’ve served on the board of our elementary school’s Parent-Teacher Organization volunteered with the South Lakes High School Food Pantry and South Lakes Chorus and been involved with local Girl Scout troops Kristi is responsible for bringing the "Buy Nothing Project " a collaborative gift economy to Reston and the region Under her supervision the project has expanded to more than 500 individual groups across the Mid-Atlantic
