A native of Orinda, he attended Miramonte High School and the University of California, Berkeley, and has been a long-time resident of Lafayette. His community engagement includes serving as a former Board member for the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce and as a significant sponsor of Lafayette Partners in Education. Additionally, Kurt is a member of the Oakwood Athletic Club and Moraga Country Club, and he volunteers as a coach for the Acalanes High School varsity football team.
