Leah's connection to the San Diego region is profound, tracing back to her great-grandparents' arrival via the historic Plank Road west of Yuma. Her early years were spent on Mt. Helix, where she still cherishes her Grossmont Foothiller gym class jersey. With over 25 years of experience in marketing and sales across both coasts, Leah has cultivated a diverse skill set.

In Washington, D.C., she served as a signage and advertising consultant, collaborating with notable clients on significant events such as the Race for the Cure, the Marine Corps Marathon, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street programs. Her work also extended to various political branding initiatives, including the Contract with America.

Leah returned to La Mesa in 2008 and became part of the Coldwell Banker office on Mt. Helix, conveniently located near her childhood home. Alongside her professional endeavors, she has been actively involved in her community, both in Northern Virginia and East County. Her volunteer efforts have included roles as a special event coordinator and board member for non-profit organizations, particularly focusing on animal rescue.

In her local community, Leah has consulted for the El Cajon Community Development Corporation and managed the Citizens for Proposition V campaign for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. She has held various positions on the Board of the East County Chamber of Commerce, including Chair in 2016, and has led the Chamber's flagship event, Women in Leadership, for six years. Additionally, she has served on the Board of The Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon and was the Past President of La Mesa Conversations, a group dedicated to fostering civic engagement. Leah also initiated and continues to lead her neighborhood watch organization, underscoring her commitment to community safety and involvement.
