Linda Niehuus has been a dedicated real estate professional since 1973, beginning her career as a sales associate in the Memorial area of Houston. In 1978, following her husband’s transfer to the United Arab Emirates, she temporarily stepped back from her role as an agent but continued to manage and own rental properties. Subsequent relocations took her to New Orleans for three years and then to Paris for 18 months, but her heart remained in Texas. “I’ve always identified as a Texan, so returning home was a priority,” she reflects.

Now a long-time resident of Austin County, Linda specializes in country homes, farms, ranches, and equestrian facilities. She has faced challenges along the way, including navigating the complexities of being a professional woman in a Muslim/Arab country and adjusting to life in rural Texas after living in Paris. “Transitioning from Paris to Nelsonville was a significant culture shock,” she admits. “We had to familiarize ourselves with ranching and animal husbandry, which was a steep learning curve, allowing me to empathize with others in similar situations.”

For 19 years, Linda and her family managed a 76-acre cow/calf and horse ranch named HayWire Ranch, in addition to owning and overseeing investment properties in Houston, Austin, and Bellville. Outside of her professional life, Linda enjoys horseback riding, scuba diving, sailing, and reading. She is the proud mother of three grown children.

Linda is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Texas Association of Realtors (TAR), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), and the South Central Board of Realtors (SCBOR).
