About Lori Weldon

Lori Bembry Weldon, a lifelong resident of the Red Hills Region, was raised on Pettis Springs Farm in Madison County, Florida, near Honey Lake Plantation along the historic Aucilla River. Her family's agricultural background—encompassing timber production, row cropping, and cattle ranching—has equipped Lori with extensive knowledge of land resources and management. This deep-rooted connection to the area has fostered her lifelong passion for land and the outdoors.

Lori's father has actively managed their 900-acre property for over four decades and served two terms in the Florida House of Representatives from 2008 to 2012, representing District 7, which includes parts of the Red Hills Region and several surrounding rural counties. While dedicating time to raise her four children, Lori played a pivotal role in developing two companies alongside her former husband and business partner. In 2001, they established Cade Sports Marketing, which specialized in organizing corporate events at major sporting occasions, including the Super Bowl.

In 2009, they launched Advanced Drying Systems, an emergency water mitigation company, where Lori contributed as a part-owner, overseeing sales, marketing, and payroll operations.

An avid outdoors enthusiast, Lori enjoys bird hunting, with quail, duck, dove, and turkey hunting among her favorite activities in the Red Hills Region. Her travels have taken her to Argentina, where she pursues duck, dove, and perdiz hunting. Additionally, she has a passion for horseback riding and owns Tennessee Walkers and a Missouri Fox Trotter.

Residing in Thomasville, Georgia, Lori is a lifetime member of the NRA and actively participates in shooting sports as a National Member of G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Really Into Shooting). She is also a member of Safari Club International and its North Florida Chapter, as well as Quail Forever and local Farm Bureaus in her area.

Lori is committed to land preservation and conservation, holding membership in Tall Timbers Research and Land Conservancy. She obtained her Real Estate License for both Florida and Georgia and joined Jon Kohler & Associates in 2017. With her extensive background in sales and marketing, Lori is well-suited for her role at the firm, where she is excited to reconnect with her roots and pursue her passion for land and the outdoors.

Major Jefferson County, Florida Real Estate Markets

Monticello serves as Jefferson County's primary real estate hub, functioning as the county seat and largest population center. The historic downtown area attracts buyers interested in restored Victorian homes and commercial properties, while newer subdivisions on the city's outskirts appeal to families seeking modern amenities with small-town atmosphere. The Monticello market benefits significantly from its position along Highway 19, providing direct access to Tallahassee for commuters.

Beyond Monticello, smaller communities like Waukeenah and Lloyd offer distinct market segments focused on rural properties and agricultural land. These areas attract buyers seeking larger parcels for farming, equestrian activities, or simply privacy and space. The diversity between urban-adjacent properties in Monticello and expansive rural holdings throughout the county creates multiple market dynamics within Jefferson County's relatively compact geography.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Jefferson County's real estate market exhibits surprising resilience due to its strategic location between Tallahassee and Georgia, creating consistent demand from state government employees, retirees, and agricultural investors. The county's canopy roads and rolling hills provide scenic appeal that commands premium pricing for properties with natural beauty, while agricultural zoning offers opportunities for diverse land uses from traditional farming to agritourism ventures.

Market complexity arises from the intersection of preservation efforts and development pressure, as historic districts maintain strict architectural standards while newer areas accommodate modern construction preferences. Properties near Lake Miccosukee and other water features demonstrate different pricing patterns than inland parcels, and the presence of plantations and large estates creates a luxury segment distinct from typical residential markets.

Why Businesses Need Jefferson County, Florida Agent Contact Data

Real estate service providers, from mortgage lenders to home inspectors, require direct access to Jefferson County's 131 agents to establish referral networks in this specialized market. The county's unique mix of historic properties, agricultural land, and modern developments demands vendors who understand local regulations and market nuances, making agent relationships crucial for business development and customer acquisition strategies.

Marketing firms and technology companies targeting real estate professionals benefit from Jefferson County's fully connected agent base, enabling email campaigns and digital service offerings to reach the entire licensed population.
