About Marcy Moorhead

Marcy grew up in a close-knit community in central Texas, where familiarity and connection were integral to daily life. This upbringing instilled in her valuable life lessons, and she has maintained a lifelong friendship with her best friend since the age of three. After completing high school, Marcy attended Texas A&M University, continuing her family's legacy as an Aggie. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on management in 1995. The distinctive Aggie ring serves as a reminder of her strong ties to family and the extensive Aggie Network, which she actively supports as a member of the Board of Directors for The Aggie Women’s Network.

Marcy shares her life with her husband and their two children, Lauren and Kyle. A pivotal moment in their lives occurred in 2012 when they traveled to India. Witnessing the harsh realities of child slavery firsthand, they were compelled to take action. They learned of children as young as four being exploited in various forms, including forced labor in rock quarries and brick kilns, as well as in brothels and through child marriage. Disturbingly, some children were sold to pharmaceutical companies for organ harvesting and lab testing.

In response to this crisis, Marcy and her husband co-founded the Child Freedom Coalition in August 2012, dedicated to providing new opportunities for children rescued from human trafficking. Their efforts have led to the rescue of over 45,000 children and the graduation of more than 1,000 young adults from vocational training programs.

Marcy seamlessly integrates her commitment to social impact with her real estate career. She established "More Than A Home" through the Child Freedom Coalition, enabling professionals in the home-buying industry to contribute a portion of their earnings to fund vocational scholarships for young adults who have been rescued from trafficking. Through this initiative, Marcy and her colleagues are making a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by this crisis.
