Margaret, a Minnesota native, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from George Washington University. Following her graduation, she relocated to New York City, where she spent 12 years immersed in the fast-paced advertising sector. During her tenure, she successfully managed campaign production rollouts for high-profile clients, including Rado Watches, Mont Blanc, Tommy Hilfiger, and Geox footwear.

In 2007, Margaret embarked on a transformative journey, selling or storing most of her possessions to embrace a nomadic lifestyle. With a car, a tent, and a National Parks pass, she spent five months camping under the stars. Her travels led her to Mexico for six months, followed by over a year exploring Central and South America, where she met her future husband. The couple settled in the Bay Area in 2013.

A dedicated advocate for gender equality, Margaret has devoted the past 25 years to advancing women's rights and supporting various initiatives. She is also actively involved in dog rescue efforts.

In her personal life, Margaret enjoys sharing laughter and dance with her daughter. Her interests include downhill skiing, scuba diving, hiking, hosting game nights with friends, revisiting classic Calvin & Hobbes comics, curating her extensive Modest Mouse collection, and enjoying classic films featuring Ginger Rogers.
