Originally from North Carolina, Marquise attended North Carolina Wesleyan College, where he majored in business administration. A standout athlete, he played varsity football at both the high school and collegiate levels, aspiring to join the NFL. However, a serious injury that resulted in two fractured vertebrae altered his path. Rather than succumbing to despair, Marquise seized an opportunity for self-discovery during an impromptu trip to California, ultimately deciding to make it his home in 2006. This pivotal experience reshaped his perspective, leading him to realize that success could be achieved outside of professional sports. He adopted a sportsman’s mentality, embracing the philosophy of striving for excellence.

Marquise's journey into real estate began in the Bay Area banking sector, where he quickly advanced while processing home loans. This role reignited his passion and motivation, allowing him to channel his energy into helping clients navigate the real estate landscape. His trustworthy nature enables buyers to articulate their vision for their ideal home, while also assisting sellers in clarifying their motivations and future aspirations.

Marquise's life took unexpected turns, particularly after the 2008 market crash, which led to job loss and homelessness. Despite these challenges, his resolve remained unshaken. He believes that resilience is key: “When life knocks you down, you don’t get back up slowly; you spring to your feet with a burning desire to succeed.” This mindset propelled him into the real estate industry, where he has since dedicated himself to helping others achieve their homeownership dreams. Today, as the founder and leader of Mpire Luxe Real Estate, Marquise’s past experiences serve as a testament to his unwavering spirit and character.

In addition to receiving numerous accolades, including the San Mateo County Association of Realtors® (SAMCAR®) Community Service Award and recognition from San Mateo County Real Producers, Marquise is an active member of the elite Top Agent Network. He leverages his extensive industry connections to enhance the lives of his clients while also giving back to the community that supported him during his most challenging times. His philanthropic efforts include significant involvement with LifeMoves, the interim housing shelter that provided him with support when he needed it most. Additionally, he contributes to local clothing drives and meal programs for the unhoused and serves on the board of the Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Silicon Valley.
