Founded in July 2005 in Atascocita, Texas, FYI Realty emerged from Mike Detana's vision that real estate should serve as a long-term investment for individuals and families. The name "For Your Investment Realty" reflects this philosophy, while the acronym "FYI" inspired the company's motto: "Invest in Your Future." Over time, the name was streamlined to FYI Realty for ease of communication.

As the sole owner and broker, Mike established FYI Realty to create a flexible environment for himself and future agents. Initially operating from his home, he transitioned to a dedicated office space in April 2010 by purchasing a property at 318 Granberry St in Old Humble. In the fall of 2014, the company expanded to a new location at 101 Main St, situated in the heart of Old Humble.

Mike and his team are committed to the belief that homeownership is an integral part of the American Dream. They take pride in guiding clients through the process of achieving this dream. Mike is married to Shantie, a licensed Texas REALTOR, and they have three children: Lauren, Michael, and Gabriel. Mike enjoys spending quality time with his family and is actively involved in Grace Church of Humble. Lauren has assisted him in various real estate transactions and aspires to pursue a full-time career in the field. Michael is currently studying at Houston Baptist University, aiming for a degree in Christianity with aspirations for ministry. Gabriel, a high school student at Atascocita High, plans to join the Air Force and attend college.

Before entering real estate, Mike spent 20 years in retail, progressing from part-time employee to District Manager. This experience honed his customer service skills and attention to detail. He also served six years in the Army National Guard. Despite a successful career in retail, Mike sought a more fulfilling path, which he found in real estate. He began part-time in 2000, became a full-time agent in 2003, earned his broker's license in 2005, and established FYI Realty.

As the owner of FYI Realty, Mike emphasizes providing valuable client services. The firm is large enough to handle diverse real estate needs while maintaining a personalized approach. With hundreds of successful transactions and satisfied clients, the company has built a reputation for prioritizing client interests.
