About Michael Tagliere

Michael Tagliere embarked on his real estate career in the spring of 1971 as an appraiser for Imperial Bank in Los Angeles, California. His work encompassed a diverse range of properties, with a particular focus on income-generating assets, including commercial, industrial, and residential income properties. In 1974, he joined Grant E. Bricker and Associates, an independent appraisal firm in Sherman Oaks, where he honed his expertise in residential properties, conducting appraisals on everything from modest bungalows to luxurious estates in Beverly Hills.

During this period, he undertook significant projects, including new development analyses and studies on the highest and best use of properties. Notably, in the mid-1970s, he appraised the La Jolla Villas, a 251-unit condominium development in La Jolla, California, which became the first residential subdivision in the United States to receive approval from the Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA). Over the following four years, he completed several similar projects.

In 1979, Michael founded Tagliere Company, an independent appraisal firm based in Northridge, California, where he continued to specialize in residential properties. His expertise expanded to include before-and-after evaluations related to catastrophic events such as floods, fires, and earthquakes. Additionally, he began teaching Real Estate Appraisal within the California Community College System.

After years of consideration, Michael obtained his broker's license in 1995, recognizing that his extensive appraisal background provided a solid foundation for a successful brokerage career. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to prioritizing his clients' interests have fostered mutually beneficial relationships.

In 1999, Michael and his partners established the Fred Sands of Valencia office in Valencia, California, which quickly gained recognition as one of Santa Clarita Valley's premier brokerages. In spring 2006, they seized the opportunity to affiliate with Vintage Sotheby's International Realty, later merging with Coldwell Banker to enhance their market presence.

Michael takes pride in operating primarily through referrals, dedicating his efforts to his family, clients, and the agents who contribute to his business success. He has been married to his wife, Shirley, for over 51 years, and together they have three married children and eight grandchildren.
