A Stanford University graduate (BA, 1989), Shelly brings over 25 years of extensive experience in marketing and sales across various industries, including technology with Xerox, biotechnology with Chiron, and entertainment with ABC/Walt Disney Co., all within Fortune 500 companies.

Her robust background in sales and major account management has equipped Shelly with a proven ability in strategic selling, marketing, and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements. This blend of professionalism, work ethic, and deep local insight is integral to her daily operations and success.

In 2005, when the Mitchell family transitioned their 40-year-old billion-dollar enterprise, The Mitchell Group, to Sotheby’s International Realty, Shelly chose to remain a local entrepreneur. She and her husband acquired Carmel Realty Company, a leading property management and rental firm in Carmel. As the head of Carmel Realty Company and a key member of one of the market's top sales teams, Shelly leverages her extensive network and insider knowledge of properties to provide her clients with a competitive advantage in today’s real estate landscape. Her unique combination of local investment acumen, access to off-market listings, and connections within the global luxury real estate community positions her at the forefront of the industry.

Having lived in Carmel for over 70 years, Shelly considers it a dream to call this picturesque area home. Her husband, Dan, an advertising executive and enthusiastic golfer, shares her passion for the region. Together, they celebrate the exceptional quality of life in Monterey Peninsula with their three children: Billy, Lucy, and Parker.
