His commitment to service led him to join the United States Air Force, where he managed a squadron command center, overseeing the welfare of hundreds of airmen and officers. Following his military service, he transitioned to a public sector role with the State of California, contributing to various departments aimed at enhancing the lives of residents in this vibrant city and state.

While working for the State, Montell earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix, initially aspiring to become a Behavioral Psychologist. However, his entrepreneurial spirit guided him toward real estate, where he discovered a powerful avenue to serve his community. Since obtaining his real estate license in 2019, Montell has focused on helping clients build lasting legacies through homeownership.
