A survivor of the Killing Fields in Cambodia, he spent five years in refugee camps in Thailand and the Philippines before arriving in the United States, where he worked as a child laborer in a migrant camp. His perseverance led him to a career in law enforcement, serving 17 years with the Livermore Police Department. Mony later earned a degree in business management from St. Mary’s College, transitioning into real estate. He attributes his ability to navigate the complexities of buying and selling homes to his challenging upbringing and law enforcement experience.

Affectionately known as the "Giving Back Realtor," Mony is deeply committed to his community. He founded and serves as president of Rising Young Leaders, an organization dedicated to providing leadership training for middle and high school students.
