Born in Norton, Virginia, Owen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Music from the University of Virginia. He furthered his education at the University of Tennessee, obtaining a degree in banking. In 1993, he relocated to Asheville, North Carolina, where he took on the role of credit manager for Westinghouse.

In 2002, Owen transitioned into real estate, graduating from The Cumbie Institute, and he is proud to be affiliated with Century 21 Mountain Lifestyles. His diverse background also includes a significant tenure in the Nashville music scene from 1973 to 1993, where he played keyboards for various groups. Although he stepped away from touring in 1993 to settle in Asheville, Owen continues to engage with music by performing at local churches and participating in studio sessions.

Owen is a dedicated family man with two children and one grandson. Renowned for his personable approach, he understands the significance of providing exceptional representation throughout the real estate process, from contract to closing.
