About Pamela Snyder

After relocating multiple times, the Snyder family settled in Asheville in 1983, initially planning a corporate stay of three to five years. However, like many others, they quickly developed a deep affection for the region. Pam Snyder, a Bucknell University alumna and Pittsburgh native, grew up in a dynamic community with a strong educational foundation.

As the Snyders integrated into Asheville life, they formed friendships, explored the area, and became active members of their church, ultimately embracing Asheville as their permanent home. Residing in East Asheville, Pam has dedicated herself to various civic organizations, including the Junior League of Asheville, the Asheville Art Auxiliary, the Buncombe County Schools Foundation, Central United Methodist Church, and the Children’s Welfare League.

Her experience raising three children within the Buncombe County School system, coupled with her volunteer work in local schools, has provided her with valuable insights into the quality of education in the area. In her free time, Pam enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking advantage of the diverse outdoor and cultural activities that the stunning mountain community has to offer.
