About Patricia Smith

Since 2006, Patty and her husband, David Smith, have been dedicated to helping clients realize their real estate aspirations.

Patty's roots lie in Springfield and Chantilly, where she attended West Springfield High before graduating from Chantilly High. David, who moved from Detroit to Annandale in 1974 with his mother and grandmother, graduated from Lake Braddock Secondary School. Both earned degrees from George Mason University, where they first crossed paths while working in management at Sears Roebuck in Fair Oaks Mall.

Following their graduation, David applied his Business Management degree in roles at Xerox and Pitney Bowes, while Patty began her career at Aetna. In 2006, David transitioned into real estate, initially serving as an agent in West Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Patty joined him as an assistant and became his partner in 2009. David quickly established himself as a top producer, focusing on vacation properties and large land parcels.

In 2015, the couple relocated to the historic district of Winchester City, where they embraced the vibrant local dining scene and cultural offerings at Shenandoah University. However, after the passing of Patty's father, they decided to move back inside the Beltway in 2017 to be closer to family.

Since then, Patty and David have leveraged their extensive knowledge of Northern Virginia to assist clients in buying and selling homes. In a challenging turn of events, David was diagnosed with an aggressive form of skin cancer shortly after Patty's father's passing. Despite the difficulties of treatment, they maintained their commitment to their clients, with David often attending appointments directly after chemotherapy sessions to ensure he met client needs.

Throughout the pandemic, Patty and David adapted by offering virtual home showings, showcasing an average of 400 properties annually during this period. Remarkably, David did not miss a single appointment, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to their clients.
