About Phil Jones
Phil Jones, the managing partner of Coldwell Banker Coastal Alliance, embarked on his real estate career at the encouragement of his father, who had urged him to invest since he was 18. Although Phil initially pursued a degree in Economics at UC Davis, his path took a significant turn when he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968. Upon returning from Vietnam, he discovered that his father, a Realtor, had invested in property using Phil's hazardous duty pay, which ultimately led him to obtain his real estate license in 1968.
Since 1989, Phil has been a prominent figure in the Long Beach real estate market and is a co-owner of CBCA, recognized as Long Beach's leading real estate agency. Under his leadership, CBCA has consistently ranked among Coldwell Banker’s top firms globally and holds the distinction of being the number one Coldwell Banker affiliate office in California.
Phil's extensive involvement in the real estate community includes serving as a Director of the Sacramento Association of Realtors from 1883 to 1989, where he was honored as Realtor of the Year in 1986. After relocating to Long Beach, he held the position of President of the Greater Long Beach Board of Realtors in 1993 and served as a Director from 1991 to 1995. He is a Director Emeritus of the Pacific West Association of Realtors, having been its President in 2010. Additionally, he is a Director for Life of the California Association of Realtors, where he contributed to the Strategic Planning Committee from 1995 to 1996 and again from 2013 to 2015, serving as Vice Chair in 2015. His leadership roles have also included Regional Chairman in 2012 and a member of the Executive Committee in 2016. Phil is an Emeritus Member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and is part of NAR’s President’s Circle and the RPAC Hall of Fame. He currently serves on the Major Investor Council of NAR.
Beyond his professional commitments, Phil actively participates in various charitable organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Precious Lamb, serves on the Board of Directors for the Beach Athletic Club at Long Beach State, and is involved with the Greater Long Beach Chamber of Commerce.
Phil and his wife, Jeannie, reside in Long Beach and are proud parents of five adult children, aged between 26 and 48.
