About Philip Becker

Philip B. W. Becker, the founder of Becker Properties, is a driven entrepreneur with a profound passion for real estate. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, alongside his younger siblings, Philip comes from a family with a strong military background; both of his parents, Randy and Geri Becker, are former U.S. Air Force officers who chose San Antonio as their family’s home.

Philip's entrepreneurial spirit emerged early; at the age of eight, he launched a neighborhood newspaper called Kids News. His fascination with real estate was evident from a young age, as he preferred watching real estate programs over cartoons and consistently read the real estate section of the San Antonio Express-News. After completing high school more than a year ahead of schedule, he established his first business at 17. In 2009, he took a significant step into the real estate sector by founding Becker Properties.

Philip quickly became an active participant in the REALTOR® community, earning the title of Rookie of the Year from the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® in 2010. He served as Vice-Chairman of the Greater San Antonio Young Professionals Network (YPN) in 2010 and later as its Chairman in 2011. His involvement extended to the Texas Association of REALTORS® YPN Advisory Council in 2011 and the TAR Political Affairs Committee in 2012. A graduate of the Texas REALTORS® Leadership Program, Philip was the youngest member of the San Antonio Board of REALTORS® Board of Directors from 2012 to 2014.

In 2013, he was appointed to the Texas CRS Chapter Board of Directors, where he chaired Public Relations and co-chaired the Chapter with a Heart initiative. His contributions were recognized when he was named the Texas CRS Chapter’s CRS of the Year in 2013 and served as Secretary of the Executive Board in 2014. Philip was also featured as a notable agent in the summer 2014 issue of CRS’s The Residential Specialist Magazine. In 2014, he was honored as one of REALTOR® Magazine's 30 Under 30.

Philip's commitment to the industry is further demonstrated through his service on the Texas Association of REALTORS® MLS/Technology Committee and the National Association of REALTORS® Housing Opportunity Committee in 2013 and 2014. He is an active member of CRS National, contributing to both the Product Review and National Nominating Committees. As a significant investor in RPAC, he holds a Golden R designation and is part of the RPAC President’s Circle. In 2016, he was appointed to the National Association of REALTORS® Strategic Thinking Advisory Committee.

Additionally, Philip served on the National Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network Advisory Board in 2013 and 2014, was the 2015 Vice-Chairman of YPN, and has been confirmed as the 2016 National Chair. He is also recognized as a speaker at various real estate events, including those hosted by NAR CRS and numerous state and local boards. Becker Properties is affiliated with the San Antonio, Austin, and Houston Texas Boards of REALTORS®.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Philip enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends, along with his Beagle, Shiloh.
