About Priscilla Adams

Priscilla, though originally from Columbia, Tennessee, has made Sarasota her home for over a decade, having frequently visited since her parents retired there 25 years ago. Her extensive travels and experiences across the globe have solidified her belief that few places can match the charm and offerings of Sarasota.

At the age of two, Priscilla relocated to Fairfield, Connecticut, where she spent 16 years before pursuing her education at Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island. There, she focused on British History and Elementary Education. Following her graduation, she seized the opportunity to work in London and explore various European destinations. This sparked a passion for travel, leading her to backpack through more than 25 countries in subsequent years.

Priscilla's professional journey has taken her to major cities such as New York City, Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas. She has gained valuable experience in public relations at one of the leading U.S. talent agencies, collaborating with high-profile celebrities in both the corporate and music sectors. Additionally, she contributed her research skills to CBS Television.

Upon settling in Sarasota, Priscilla and her husband acquired the well-established Word of Mouth restaurant, later expanding to two additional locations that quickly gained popularity. After a decade of success in the restaurant industry, they chose to sell the business, allowing Priscilla to pursue her aspiration of becoming a real estate agent in Sarasota.

In her personal and professional life, Priscilla has dedicated the past ten years to supporting numerous local organizations, including Mothers Helping Mothers, All Faiths Food Bank, The Salvation Army, and SPARCC. As a five-year breast cancer survivor, she has organized the Survivor's Dinner for American Cancer Society Relay for Life events and actively participates in Key to the Cure at Saks Fifth Avenue each October. Much of her volunteer work has centered around her daughter's schools, including the Temple Beth Sholom Schools and Pine View School.

In her leisure time, Priscilla enjoys beach walks, collecting shark teeth, watching movies, participating in a local trivia team, reading, traveling, and cherishing moments with her daughter.

Major Sarasota County, Florida Real Estate Markets

Sarasota city anchors the county's luxury market, with downtown condominiums and bayfront properties commanding premium prices, while nearby Siesta Key continues to attract international buyers drawn to its world-renowned beaches. Venice offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern development, particularly appealing to retirees, while North Port has emerged as a surprising hotspot for younger families seeking affordability without sacrificing amenities.

The barrier islands, including Longboat Key and Casey Key, represent some of Florida's most exclusive real estate, creating specialized market segments that require deep local expertise. Osprey and Nokomis round out the county's diverse offerings, providing everything from golf course communities to waterfront living at various price points, each demanding agents with specific neighborhood knowledge and client relationships.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Sarasota County's real estate market operates on multiple tiers simultaneously, with luxury properties often selling through private networks while entry-level homes face intense competition from cash buyers and investors. The seasonal nature of the market creates unique timing challenges, with peak activity running from January through April when northern buyers actively search, followed by a strategic summer period when locals and year-round residents dominate transactions.

Geographic micro-markets within the county can vary dramatically in pricing, inventory levels, and buyer demographics, sometimes within just a few miles of each other. This complexity requires agents to maintain hyperlocal expertise while understanding broader county trends, creating opportunities for businesses that can effectively segment and target specific agent specialties and territorial focuses.

With such a large concentration of active agents, businesses can develop targeted campaigns for specific market segments, whether focusing on luxury specialists, first-time buyer experts, or investment property professionals.

The complete email accessibility of all 13,714 agents creates unprecedented opportunities for B2B marketing, continuing education providers, and real estate technology companies to reach this influential market efficiently.
