About Randa Baker

Brooke Madden-Baker, a Crockett County native, currently resides in Jackson, Tennessee, with her husband, Chris. She is the proud mother of Clayton Madden (22) and Tyler Madden (17), and she embraces her role as a bonus mom to Jada Baker (22) and a loving “Lolly” to Novalie (2).

Brooke embarked on her real estate journey in 2007 after successfully flipping three properties in the Dyersburg area. Her expertise spans various sectors of real estate, including single-family investment properties, commercial lots, farmland, new construction, and property renovations, complemented by her background in interior design. In 2018, she collaborated with a local investor to renovate six properties in downtown Jackson, expressing her enthusiasm for revitalizing older homes and contributing to the rejuvenation of the downtown area.

Over her 16-year career as a realtor in West Tennessee, Brooke has actively participated in her local real estate association, serving on various committees, including charitable events, public relations, and education. In 2023, she continues her involvement with CWTAR, contributing to the events and education committees, and is also engaged with VIP magazine. Community engagement is a priority for Brooke, who views her work as more than just a profession. She states, “It’s about helping first-time homebuyers discover ‘THE HOUSE’ and supporting single parents in their journey to find ‘THE HOME.’ It’s a privilege to share in the joy of these milestones, as well as to provide support during challenging times, such as selling a family home. I am dedicated to being there for all of it, celebrating the happy moments while making the difficult transitions a bit easier. My work is not just a job; it’s my passion.”

Brooke lives by the motto: “Love your family, work diligently, and pursue your passion.”

Madison County, Tennessee's real estate market reflects the dynamic growth patterns of West Tennessee, anchored by Jackson as the county seat and largest city. With 464 total actively licensed agents serving the region, this market demonstrates robust professional representation relative to its population base. The county's strategic location along Interstate 40, midway between Memphis and Nashville, has positioned it as an attractive destination for both residential buyers and commercial investors seeking affordable alternatives to major metropolitan markets.

What makes Madison County particularly intriguing is its blend of urban amenities in Jackson and rural agricultural properties throughout the county's 557 square miles. The presence of Union University, Jackson State Community College, and major healthcare systems has created steady demand for rental properties and starter homes, while the county's manufacturing base—including companies like Procter & Gamble and Kellogg's—supports a stable middle-class housing market with median home prices significantly below state averages.

Major Madison County, Tennessee Real Estate Markets

Jackson dominates the county's real estate activity, comprising nearly 70% of all transactions, with established neighborhoods like Northside, Midtown, and the rapidly developing areas around Old Hickory Boulevard driving most sales volume. The city's downtown revitalization efforts have sparked interest in historic properties and loft conversions, while suburban developments like Bent Creek and Championship subdivisions attract families seeking modern amenities and top-rated schools.

Beyond Jackson, smaller communities like Medon, Three Way, and Denmark offer rural residential opportunities and agricultural land sales that appeal to buyers seeking larger parcels and country living within commuting distance of urban employment centers. The western portions of the county, particularly around Bemis and surrounding unincorporated areas, have seen increased activity from buyers relocating from higher-cost markets in Middle Tennessee and seeking affordable homeownership options.

Market Dynamics and Geographic Complexity

Madison County's real estate market operates with surprising complexity despite its mid-sized profile, featuring distinct pricing tiers that range from affordable starter homes under $150,000 to executive properties exceeding $500,000 in exclusive neighborhoods like Country Club Lane and areas surrounding the Ridgeland Country Club. The market benefits from relatively low inventory turnover times and steady appreciation rates that have historically outpaced inflation while remaining accessible to first-time buyers.

Agricultural land transactions represent a significant but often overlooked segment, with row crop farms, timber properties, and recreational hunting land changing hands regularly at prices that reflect both farming profitability and development potential. The county's diverse zoning patterns and development regulations create opportunities for experienced agents who understand the nuances of rural-to-residential conversions and commercial development along major transportation corridors.
