About Rd Johnson

A lifelong resident of Middlesex County, Rd holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a Minor in Economics from Ferrum College, complemented by his education at Christchurch School. He and his wife, Maria, are proud parents of two children, Dale and Lucie, and are deeply rooted in their community.

Active in local organizations, Rd is a member of Saluda Baptist Church, where he has contributed as Finance Committee Chairman and Deacon. His commitment to community service extends to his role in the Masonic Lodge #83 A.F. & A.M. in Urbanna, as well as his participation on the Middlesex County Board of Zoning Appeals and the Middlesex Capital Improvements Plan Subcommittee.

As a dedicated Realtor, Rd is affiliated with the Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR), the Chesapeake Bay and Rivers Association of Realtors (CBRAR), and the Northern Neck Association of Realtors (NNAR). His leadership experience includes serving as president of the CBRAR Property Services Board and holding a director position on the CBRAR board. Additionally, he has been a past president of the Kiwanis Club of Middlesex and has served on the Dragon Run Steering Committee as a landowner representative, along with a directorship on the Oyster Festival Foundation.

Rd cherishes the opportunity to live and work on the Middle Peninsula, where he enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, and golfing with his family. His passion for real estate is deeply ingrained, stemming from his grandfather, Hersey M. Mason Jr., who founded Mason Realty Inc. in 1957. Since joining the family business in 1995, Rd has found great fulfillment in helping clients find their first homes and assisting families in acquiring vacation properties where they can create lasting memories on the Middle Peninsula.
