About Rex Bell

Born in Pensacola, Florida, to the Bell family in the 1950s, this real estate professional grew up in a middle-class neighborhood where his parents operated a construction firm. Their entrepreneurial spirit led them to purchase, renovate, and rent residential properties, paving the way for his mother to enter the real estate sector. In the early 1970s, she earned her real estate license and, along with his father, established Navy Realty Inc. in the Warrington area. Over the years, they successfully managed more than 100 rental properties throughout Pensacola, with his mother overseeing not only their portfolio but also managing properties for numerous other owners.

In the late 1970s, during Jimmy Carter's presidency, he ventured into real estate himself, navigating a challenging market with interest rates soaring to 18%. Despite these hurdles, he successfully sold several properties. His early experiences also included assisting his father, an electrical contractor, from a young age, which instilled a strong work ethic and technical knowledge. After his initial foray into real estate, he transitioned to managing his father's electrical business, eventually obtaining his Electrical Master’s License and establishing his own electrical construction company.

However, his passion for real estate remained strong. With a diverse background in management and marketing across various industries, he decided to return to real estate to gain more flexibility and time with his family. In early 2018, he obtained his real estate license and joined the ERA/Old South Properties Inc. team. Having previously collaborated with their Property Management Department, he developed a deep respect for the business practices and community involvement of the Porter family, who own ERA/Old South Properties. His primary goal in real estate is to provide exceptional, professional, and courteous service to his clients. He and his wife, Wanda, are proud parents of four children and grandparents to five grandchildren.
