He completed his primary education at Heights Elementary and graduated from Cypress Lakes High School. Growing up, Rick gained valuable experience working on fishing boats for his family's well-known establishment, "Getaway Marina." Following high school, he dedicated himself to obtaining his Captain's license while also pursuing a career as a Scuba Diving Instructor and commercial diver.

Rick became one of the youngest Captains in the region, acquiring a 100-foot liveaboard dive boat to establish a unique diving business. For many years, he has guided divers to the Dry Tortugas, providing them with unforgettable experiences. His clients rely on his expertise for diving instruction and safe transportation to and from this premier destination.
