About Robby Roden

Robby hails from West Columbia, Texas, where he developed a strong work ethic through farming and animal husbandry, as well as a deep respect for his community. After completing high school, he pursued a degree in Chemistry at Brazosport Community College while gaining practical experience as a Lab Technician at Dow Chemical.

Subsequently, Robby relocated to San Marcos, Texas, where he earned a degree in Information Technology from Texas State University. He began his professional journey as an IT Technician at Horseshoe Bay Resort in Blanco, Texas. However, he soon realized that his true passion lay outside the tech industry, prompting his return to San Marcos to embark on a career in real estate as an apartment locator.

It was during this transition that he met Katy Scruton, who was seeking a home. Robby successfully guided her to a property in his neighborhood and subsequently invited her to join his team as an assistant. Their professional relationship blossomed into a personal one, fueled by a shared enthusiasm for real estate. Katy, who had been diagnosed with narcolepsy during her college years, was determined to raise awareness and seek a cure, demonstrating that her condition would not define her.

In 2011, Robby and Katy founded 3Z Realty, a name inspired by their mission to support narcolepsy awareness—“ZZZ” symbolizing sleep. Through dedication and perseverance, they have established a thriving office at 2706 Hunter Rd in San Marcos, Texas. Their team now includes two employees and seven agents, and they manage over 100 properties through 3Z Property Management, all while actively contributing to the fight against narcolepsy.
