With a distinguished background in newspaper publishing across the western United States, Ron and his wife Pat relocated to Truckee in 1992. Shortly thereafter, seeking new professional challenges, Ron embarked on a career in real estate. His commitment to the community became evident as he engaged with various organizations, including Rotary and the Truckee Donner Chamber of Commerce, where he notably served two terms as President.

Ron’s public service continued with a two-decade tenure as an elected official for the Truckee Donner Public Utility District (TDPUD). His foray into commercial real estate began with development, where he played a pivotal role in securing approvals for several significant residential and mixed-use subdivisions in Truckee. He further established himself as the exclusive broker for various projects, including Winter Creek, Pine Forest, Pinyon Creek, Riverview Townhomes, and Nakoma Golf Resort.
