Ron has spent the majority of his life in the Antigo and Langlade County region. He is married to Laurie (Lafferty) Welnetz, and together they have five children: Christopher, Cami, Khala, Kirk, and Chandice. Ron takes great pride in his family, which has expanded to include eleven grandchildren: Hunter, Nevin, Dane, Ivy, Lola, Mack, Finn, Nolan, Henry, Liam, and Mabel.

Residing near a picturesque lake, Ron enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, and camping, particularly during the autumn months when the vibrant foliage and cooler temperatures provide a refreshing change. He finds joy in ice fishing on sunny winter days, especially when temperatures hover between 10 and 30 degrees.

With a career in real estate that began in 1996, Ron has owned and managed his own office since 1997. He held the position of President of the Woodland Lakes Association of REALTORS from 2006 to 2015 and served as the Association Executive from 2010 to 2015. Most recently, he was the president of the Greater Northwoods Association of REALTORS and participated as a board member.

Ron holds several prestigious certifications, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate of the REALTOR Institute (GRI), Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB), and Military Relocation Professional (MRP). He is an active member of both the Wisconsin REALTORS Association and the National Association of REALTORS.
