My first introduction to the Upper Valley was whilst I was studying at Mount Holyoke College (1989-90) My friends and I spent many weekends visiting friends at Dartmouth College and enjoying the social life I recognized then what a special place it was and am thrilled to now call it home!

I moved to America in 2001 when I retired from rowing for the British National team I graduated from Nottingham University in 1994 with a BSc in Life Sciences a k a Biology After one year working as a medical research assistant I realized it wasn't the career for me and followed my dream to row full time I competed internationally for England and then Great Britain (yes there is a difference!) from 1994 until 2001 My favorite two races were Women's Henley Regatta which I won twice in my single scull and the Olympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne Switzerland The highlight of my career was competing at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney where we came seventh

In addition to working for Coldwell Banker Lifestyles I continue to race both rowing and sculling for Upper Valley Rowing Foundation coach with the UVRF Lebanon Crew and the Dartmouth College FLIP program am co-founder of Row The Prouty and in 2017 I became licensed as a USRowing referee I love being involved in the sport and community in such different and rewarding capacities
