Additionally, she served as Regional Director for the Pacific and Southwest Regions of a prominent non-profit organization.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master of Science in Recreation Administration/Non-Profit Business Administration from California State University, Northridge. Ruth is also a Certified Notary Public, holds a Certificate in Fundraising from UCI, and is a Certified Group Fitness Instructor.
